The Carrboro Farmers’ Market celebrates all things tomato on Saturday, July 11th! CFM farmers grow over 70 varieties of tomatoes - like Sun Gold, Cherokee Purple, Brandywine, Big Beef, Black Krim, and much more. The Market will be celebrating tomato season with samples of fresh tomatoes, a raffle with over 25 prizes from local Carrboro businesses, limited-edition t-shirts with this year’s unique design, guest chefs, and much more. This event is free and open to the public. Tomato Day is sponsored by Laser Image Printing & Marketing, the Splinter Group, and Visit Carrboro. The CFM is open Saturdays year-round (7am-12pm April-October and 9am-12pm November-March) and Wednesdays seasonally (3-6pm April-November) at Carrboro Town Commons. https://townofcarrboro.org/calendar.aspx?EID=9451
